OCD Support Group — What to Expect

This support group is a welcoming, judgment-free space for anyone living with OCD or intrusive thoughts who wants to feel less alone and more understood. OCD can create a lot of shame, fear, and isolation — and this group exists to break that cycle by giving you a place where people truly “get it.”

The group is gently guided by a therapist, but it is not therapy. There’s no pressure to share anything personal, no homework, and no expectations about how you “should” participate. Some people talk, some listen, and everyone goes at their own pace. The focus is on connection, encouragement, and reducing the shame that often keeps people quiet and isolated.

Each week, you’ll have the chance to:

• Hear from others who experience similar intrusive thoughts and patterns
• Feel seen and validated instead of misunderstood
• Learn a few simple tools to help you stay grounded and less overwhelmed (no clinical jargon)
• Ask questions, share wins or challenges, and release the pressure you’ve been holding
• Build community with people who understand what you’re going through

This group is a soft landing spot — a place to connect, breathe, laugh a little, defuse shame, and remember that you’re not broken and you’re not alone. It's support, not therapy… and sometimes, that’s exactly what you need.
